Hi math wizards! I’m really stuck on absolute value in everyday life and would sure desperately need guidance to solve with ratios, x-intercept and side-angle-side similarity. My tests is due soon. I have even thought of hiring a math tutor, but they are not cheap. So any idea would be very much valued .

I have a good idea that could help you with algebra. You simply need a good program to clarify the problems that are complicated. You don't need a private teacher, because firstly it's very costly , and on the other hand you won't have it near you whenever you need help. A software is better because you only have to buy it once, and it's yours for all time. I advice you to try Algebrator, because it's the best. Since it can solve almost any algebra problems , you will probably use it for a very long time, just like I did. I bought it a long time ago when I was in College Algebra, but I still use it quite often.

I would just add a note to what has been said above. Algebrator no doubt is the most useful tool one could have. Always use it as a reference and a means to learn and never to copy .

I remember having difficulties with multiplying matrices, equivalent fractions and reducing fractions. Algebrator is a truly great piece of math software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Pre Algebra, Intermediate algebra and College Algebra. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
