If you are a complete novice, you should use Algebrator. Is it easy to understand and very useful too.
Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Pre Algebra, College Algebra and Pre Algebra. It is a really a great piece of algebra software. I remember of going through difficulties with syntehtic division, linear inequalities and geometry. I would simply type in a problem homework, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my math homework. I highly recommend the program.
